Details: Whitewood is a town in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It is located approximately 175 kilometres (109 mi) east of Regina on the Trans-Canada Highway SK Hwy 1. It is situated at the crossroads of two major highways systems - the Trans-Canada, which runs east and west, and SK Hwy 9, which runs north and south from the US border to Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. Located midway between Brandon, Manitoba and Regina, Whitewood was and continues to be an ideal place to stop and rest.
Located at 923 Lalonde Street in Whitewood, SK is a one storey concrete block building. This structure was originally built in 1959 receiving updates in 75/76 and again in 88/90 it was operated as a hospital, until it closed in 1993. Since then, this building has been utilized for a variety of purposes and most recently was a laundromat, as well as a apartment style residence. (Please see the floorplan in the pictures above).
The building is approximately 6400 sq. ft. which is then divided into three areas:
Residential Suite (1600 Sq. Ft.)
Laundromat (576 Sq. Ft.)
Vacant Area (4224 Sq. Ft.)
Residence: Separate Entry on Rear (East) of building, Entry into a large hallway which accesses all rooms, three "bedrooms" a living room, kitchen, large bathroom with toilet, sink, tub and walk-in shower.
Former Laundromat: Entry via Side (South) Entrance Doors, two rooms for laundry machines (removed), two piece washroom.
Vacant Area: Entry via Front (West) or Side (North) Doors. Long hallway in middle of the building with rooms off each side.
Damages: The structure requires significant improvements and maintenance. The highest priority is a new roof. The current roof (tar and gravel flat roof) has significantly deteriorated and leaks. This has resulted in excessive water on the interior. Which has resulted in serious mold concerns. Viewing of the premises should only be from the exterior and via the pictures provided. It is not recommended to request to enter the property.

Site Information: The property is irregular in shape and is approximately 87,372 sq. ft or 2 Acres. The property is serviced with all town services, but also has a private well. The property has a gravelled parking lot on the south side of the building, and there is chain link fencing to the east and north side of the property.
